National Account Manager
Support the development and execution of Primeline Sales & Marketing business activities in identified markets through a selected portfolio of Principle products. Involves the tracking of Customer JBP's and Principle Growth Plans in order to achieve business targets. Involves Portfolio management, support execution of business plans from external Principles and manage the Customer relationships and Principles Commercial Interests in the Primeline Sales & Marketing Principles structure.
Within the agreed frame-work create Business Development strategies and Annual Financial budgets, support the Sales team within the given areas of responsibility, support budget updates and reporting to management for approval.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Sales and budget management.

Attention to detail and thoroughness of execution.
High levels of emotional intelligence.
6-8 years of FMCG sales experience out of which at least 2 years of heading dealing at head office level. First-hand experience of managing and negotiating with Principles and Customers, understanding of trade marketing function. Must have had exposure to all aspects of the business including finance, customer service, logistics, manufacturing and HR. Should be willing to lead by example and be the "Thought Leader" for your area. Tactical and strategic thinking are essential. Ability to devise systems and procedures to manage trade spend and promotion allocations and promotion planning, high levels of planning and a thorough orientation towards detailing.
Should be able to train as well as be willing to enhance skills on an ongoing basis
Account Responsibility: achieve the yearly sales targets while delivering all key KPI's
To effectively manage your workload on a daily basis to ensure all actions are dealt with in a timely manner and all Customer/Principle requirements are met.
Manage all Customer/Principle Agreements and relationships and ensure the correct records are kept for same in line with Company Policy
Facilitate that all Trade and consumer promotions are ready one month ahead of the agreed execution date; including pricing, POSM materials and stocks.
Reporting: Direct process to estimate, track and communicate achievement of Volume, Revenue, Margin and other relevant KPI's.
Conduct thorough analysis on the performance of the Principle, and recommend and implement changes on the commercial strategy when required.
Build customer engagement by ensuring frequent company and customer interface and collaboration with all the customers' functions at head-office and stores.
Demonstrate aggressive but fair approach to the relationship with the Principle.
Train and coach Sales & Marketing team with periodical assessment to sustain a focused and motivated team.
Coordinate with personnel and departments in the company on different activities, including planning, budgeting, marketing, logistics, etc.
Think and act as Sales Manager which includes providing ideas to drive business and get functions support to that (drive efficiencies).
Portfolio management: responsible for keeping updated databases of strategic development, conduct portfolio efficiency analysis, implement pre-defined pricing on systems. Develop and maintain category and ranges sales tools for the Sales team
Seek new business opportunities and work on new projects with the Commercial manager.
