Our client one of the worlds biggest plant machinery dealers is current looking for Hose Engineer to join their team. The company sells and support equipment operating in a diverse range of industries and locations.
To ensure that the refurbishment of company products within the Construction Equipment product group operate, and will continue to operate for the foreseeable future, to company standards and customer requirement by carrying out a range of reconditioning.
Main Duties:
*Receive customer service requests and assess response time and any requirements for assistance so that the customer is informed of situation and satisfied with service progress.
*Contact customer's site management in order to register arrival and presence on site and ensure knowledge of customer procedures so as to comply with customer's site requirements.
*Undertake a local site risk assessment prior to commencing service work, preparing an appropriate method statement in line with standard situation procedures and principles, or discuss rectification of site circumstances with customer and/or supervisor so that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
*Assess hose service requirement for the customer's machinery and prepare hose assembly using mobile equipment to meet the technical, hygiene and presentation standards.
*Remove and replace the faulty hose assemblies where requested by customer, removing and replacing machine components in order to access faulty hose assemblies where appropriate, to achieve the required repair.
*Complete all service reports to enable the correct and timely charging of the customer.
*Maintain adequate levels of stock on the van, ensuring the repair equipment is in safe and proper working order, so that service work can be carried out with unnecessary delay.
*Seek to develop increased business for through good customer relations and the on going awareness and feedback of competitive activities and opportunities in the territory.

*Practical knowledge of hydraulic and fluid power systems. Usually requires 1 to 2 weeks training.
*Proven customer service skills and the ability to sell to end user customers.
*Proven experience of independent working in a field based environment.
*General familiarity with commercial and industrial equipment and machinery.
*Use of Information Technology equipment (PC or hand-held device) to access and record information on general software packages and databases.
*Driving Licence

In return the company offers a salary of £22,500 plus van and excellent benefits scheme and earning potential of up to £30,000 and beyond.
