HyperV Systems Administrator, Cork, contract
Contract duration: 6 months plus
Purpose of the role:
Technical teams focus is to solve various business systems and applications problems for customers, onsite engineering personnel and Authorized Service Providers on standard, specialized or complex systems.
You will also be responsible for responding to service, product, technical, and customer- relations questions on subjects such as features, specifications, and repairs on current and discontinued products, parts, and options, based on customer entitlement (warranty through mission-critical). On occasions you will act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision- making process. You will review and may resolve complex business issues and partner with the Sales team.
*Extensive experience in OS and System Administration
*Hyper - V experience
*Extensive experience with storage architecture and related technologies.
*Experience with network troubleshooting, packet capture and analysis, good understanding of layer 2/3 protocols.
*Experience working in a customer-facing support role dealing with enterprise IT customers.
*Experience troubleshooting IT infrastructure technologies such as servers, networking, and storage software and hardware.
*Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
*Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability to work independently and as a team player.
*Organizational, interpersonal and strong verbal/written communication skills are critical.
