The QHSE Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and attainment of our existing and new ISO certifications for the sites.
Introduction of software applications to replace paper systems as far as possible.
Control the day-to-day operations including auditing, meetings, training and updating documents and records for all aspects of the systems and employees.
Evaluate and analyse quality, health and safety issues in the pick process and introduce corrective and preventive actions.
Handle internal accident investigations across the group, working with management team to improve process and adherence.
Liaise with management and staff to ensure continued QHSE integration into core operations
Monitor and ensure that all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is complied with and ensure a safe working environment for all team members within a busy FMCG environment.
Manage company Safety file and provide monthly updates to SLT.
Constantly evaluate and work toward Continuous Improvement processes (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to improve processes and procedures
The role requires active participation at all levels, from strategy through to implementation as well as actively influencing and motivating a variety of people to ensure commitment to the overall QHSE compliance.
Further requirements of the role:
Prepare and maintain Site Specific Method Statements
Preparation of Lift Plans and Traffic Management Plans
Review and interpretation of safety documentation being submitted by Contractors (i.e. site Risk Assessments and Method Statements etc.)
Lead monthly QHSE meeting
Conduct relevant Health and Safety Training for Primeline Staff such as Manual Handling, Ergonomic Assessments, PPT, Forklift etc
Maintain H&S training records for all staff
Carry out site safety audits and ensure any issues raised are closed with a corrective action plan in a timely manner
Review and action site audit reports completed by Customers;
Record H&S non-compliance's in the audit tracker;
Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing Health and safety regulations;
Ensure the accurate filling of all required paperwork by the relevant personnel;
Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet H&S standards;
Ensure DCs hygiene is kept to the required standards at all times, ensuring regular walks of the warehouse and the external yard and perimeter
Ensure all new staff on site are fully inducted and trained prior to commencing work
The ideal candidate will:
Have relevant QHSE qualifications and have at least five years' experience, ideally in a similar sector
Quality Management experience within the FMCG industry
Should be familiar with ISO Certifications and successful attainment of same
Be comfortable developing the Company's QHSE systems and encouraging a culture of excellence and compliance
Be knowledgeable with all aspects of the above standards, relevant legislation and compliance requirements
Have excellent verbal and written English with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company
Have a high level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintaining clear and professional documentation relating to integrated management systems
Possess strong planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills
Be computer literate with Microsoft Office to a proficient level with good typing skills
