This client is looking for an experienced customer service associate looking for an immediate start


The purpose of the role of Customer Service Associate is to provide first time resolution for incoming queries through phone, email or fax, to maintain service excellence to both the internal and external customer


§ Processing orders and deliveries (including creating, viewing, displaying and listing sales orders, order confirmations) for various customers


§ Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or Business Qualification

§ Full knowledge of MS Office application is essential

§ Minimum of 3 years customer services experience, preferably in a similar industry

§ Responsible for internal account management for our key customers

§ Responsible for sourcing, quoting and follow through on customer requests

§ Provide product support where possible to customer

§ Participate in product training provided to team

§ Offer one time resolution on queries to customers

§ Weekly courtesy calls to our sales team and customers

§ Play a role in marketing incentives to maximise revenue potential

§ Ensure customers receive all necessary regulatory certification

§ Attending customer visits when required

§ Devising customer reports when needed

§ Advising customers of delivery dates and status of orders

§ Capable of resolving complex customer issues such as pricing, margin blocks, web blocks etc

§ Responsible for managing stock in the areas of: consignment stock, replenishment stock and virtual stock

§ Effectively handles customer complaints and reaches timely resolution

§ Works alongside finance in resolving invoice queries for customers

§ Runs and monitors open order reports to minimise stock outs for our customers

§ Co-ordinate with Finance re pricing, account set up and charges

§ Promote the benefits of using the web to our customers

§ Promote "where is my stuff" (WIMS) web feature to our customers

§ Updating and validating all relevant customer information on our Customer Relationship System (CRM) - Athena

§ Liaise with all internal support teams

§ Monitors open orders, blanket order, forecasts and virtual stock for customers

§ In conjunction with Team Leader, sets, agrees and takes ownership of PMP Goals

§ Performs other duties as assigned


§ Displays excellent customer focus

§ Ability to multi-task and prioritise

§ Team Player

§ Ability to work to tight deadlines in line with KPI's

§ IT Literate -Athena and MS Office applications

§ Previous SAP knowledge a distinct advantage

§ Excellent time management & telephone etiquette capabilities

§ Highly professional written and verbal communication skills

§ Proactive - can work with minimal supervision
