Permanent role with great benefits and flexibility

We are seeking an experienced data analyst to perform analysis, develop and communicate recommendations to shape the pricing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and data-driven storytelling.

This role is for Fintech client.

The department you will be working in is required to send significant amounts of detailed trading data to various governmental and industry regulators such as FINRA, the SEC and MSRB. The regulators use this information to monitor brokers, and their customers for front running, insider trading and other illegal trading behaviors. The group is responsible for the review and analysis of this data and the related business and system flows related to TRF, MSRB, TRACE, OATS, INSITE, Rules 605 and 606, Electronic Blue Sheets, and LOPR to ensure its accuracy and completeness. Issues with regulatory reporting can lead to inquiries, disciplinary action or fines.

You will lead all phases of the analysis required to validate the correctness of the data - identifying the appropriate data sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing complex analytics and reporting of results.

Responsibilities:

*Creating new methods and queries to proactively identify discrepancies in data across several reporting platforms or in the flow of transaction data from upstream to downstream systems.
*Analyzing the details available in disciplinary actions and industry fines to identify areas of improvement in our existing procedures.
*Producing daily and/or monthly analysis for management review.
*Supporting the Compliance team in responding to inquiries, audits and/or exams from regulators in a timely manner. Providing requested data and expertise in determining the accuracy and completeness of the reporting submitted.

Skills required:
oBrokerage industry experience, preferably in trading or middle/back-office operations
oWorking knowledge of equity, fixed income, and derivative products
oBasic knowledge of SQL, Advanced Macros, Python
oKnowledge of Robotics and Blue Prism mechanics and workflow a plus
oExperience building or querying relational databases or big data environments, with knowledge of multiple languages.
oA proven ability to analyse big data, and resolve problems as they arise with minimal supervision
oExperience developing dashboards or reporting using visualization tools such as Tableau.

If this is of interest please get in touch via email Natalia.Merritt at adecco.ie or call on 00 353 (0) 18526950.
