The Oracle Developer will join the Finance Technology team, based in Dublin with a proven track record working on large scale multi-year enterprise technology programs/projects.

This position is for an experienced developer with a strong ability to build business-critical systems with a keen eye on stability and performance.

You will be working on delivering a strategic technology platform which has an exciting roadmap of future enhancements.

Reporting to the Business Solutions lead in Dublin:

  • Rewriting/migrating functionality in some of the existing reference data systems to our strategic platforms.

  • Building tools to reduce time to market for onboarding new feeds including data quality monitoring, data reconciliation and automated test tools.

  • Adding new features to the core reference data platform to manage data quality and analytics.

  • Develop new features in our strategic platforms.

  • In addition, you will may occasionally be providing third level support for the applications.

  • You will also be expected to gain an understanding of the business data domain and perform analysis when necessary.

Required Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong Oracle development skills (PL/SQL) - minimum 8 years - for large scale databases, including index strategies, partitioning, performance tuning, optimization and stored procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment.

  • Results focused

  • Data modelling and database design skills

  • Experience in web UI technologies (C#, ASP.NET and .NET Framework)

  • Knowledge of Agile software development practices, as well as Continuous Integration and TDD (Test Driven Development)

  • Exposure to Regulatory reporting systems

  • Previous experience at a Bank would be beneficial (but not essential) with experience in finance, treasury or capital markets

  • The candidate should be a good team player and be able to work effectively with the development team as well as with our business partners and IT senior managers as required.
