The Oracle Developer will join the Finance Technology team, based in Dublin with a proven track record working on large scale multi-year enterprise technology programs/projects.
This position is for an experienced developer with a strong ability to build business-critical systems with a keen eye on stability and performance.
You will be working on delivering a strategic technology platform which has an exciting roadmap of future enhancements.
Reporting to the Business Solutions lead in Dublin:
Rewriting/migrating functionality in some of the existing reference data systems to our strategic platforms.
Building tools to reduce time to market for onboarding new feeds including data quality monitoring, data reconciliation and automated test tools.
Adding new features to the core reference data platform to manage data quality and analytics.
Develop new features in our strategic platforms.
In addition, you will may occasionally be providing third level support for the applications.
You will also be expected to gain an understanding of the business data domain and perform analysis when necessary.
Strong Oracle development skills (PL/SQL) - minimum 8 years - for large scale databases, including index strategies, partitioning, performance tuning, optimization and stored procedures.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment.
Data modelling and database design skills
Experience in web UI technologies (C#, ASP.NET and .NET Framework)
Knowledge of Agile software development practices, as well as Continuous Integration and TDD (Test Driven Development)
Exposure to Regulatory reporting systems
Previous experience at a Bank would be beneficial (but not essential) with experience in finance, treasury or capital markets
The candidate should be a good team player and be able to work effectively with the development team as well as with our business partners and IT senior managers as required.
