Service Design & Transition Function Lead

Location - Telford - Remote start

An overview of the role

With a collaborative ethos with SD&T teams, and other EM stakeholders across the Market Unit and the wider UK organisation, you'll to provide a consistent approach to the SD&T delivery and service establishment. The SD&T Functional Lead will establish new service offerings, provide best practice guidance to the SD&T Community and will work closely with key stakeholders.

The work

You will be responsible for defining the SD &T product. You will lead the team and the SD&T community. You will be the owner of best practice and associated work processes and instructions. You will manage the teams work allocation including identification of pipeline for the function , ensuring sufficient capacity against different work-types (non-chargeable/chargeable/assignments). You will engage with major programmes, Client Focussed Groups (CFGs) and delivery teams to identify their needs to deliver the best engagement models. You will also act as a point of escalation and management for SD&T issues from internal and customer stakeholders.

Why this role?

In this role you will have the autonomy to define, own and deliver a plan to reinvigorate the function including training and competency roadmaps for the SD&T function. You'll also lead on the formal creation of new offerings such as Migration Partners.

Successful applicants will require good influencing and communication (written and verbal) skills and be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. They must have excellent client relationship skills and strong management capabilities. They will also require a good financial acumen, and the ability to work with an extended group of stakeholders. Desirable skills include:


· ITIL Service Management


· A good understanding of Cloud, Digital and Data processes / technologies


· Knowledge of project / delivery management.


· Proven team leading/management experience
