As part of the Finance Committee, you will meet quarterly and your role will be to oversee and monitor finance delivery across the Group, recommend financial targets for the Group and the annual consolidated budget to the Group Board, examine business plan models, targets, key assumptions, scenarios and sensitivity tests (at least twice per year) and consider write off requests in keeping with the Committee's delegations. Your role will be to ensure governance to maintain the Group's liquidity, including consideration of new financing opportunities. Working with the Committee you will take legal or financial advice as deemed appropriate, to advise the Group on financial strategy including consideration of reports for new business opportunities and making recommendations to the Group Board as appropriate. Your financial acumen will help ensure a Value for Money strategy including commissioning value for money and efficiency reviews of operational areas, appropriate bench-marking and providing challenge and assurance. You will also work with the Committee to ensure the development programme is within the Group's financial capacity and is financially viable and where required, review the Pension strategy and contingent liabilities exposure.

Desired skills
Experience of working within financial management (accountancy, audit or management of a large budget) or an audit / regulatory environment would be advantageous
Experience of working in a medium / large organisation at a senior level or other experience which would give similar benefits.
Prior board level experience, or experience presenting to boards.
Mortgage or lending experience
Pension knowledge
