Senior OD, Learning and Talent Manager
FTC 9-month contract or permanent Contract
Band 8B NHS Agenda for Change £53,168 - £62,001 per annum
The National Institute for Health and Social Care have asked Badenoch and Clark to partner with them in the search for a Senior OD, Learning and Talent Manager. This is an urgent requirement, so we are considering applicants who are interested in both 9-month fixed term contracts and permanent positions as well as full time or 30 hour per week requirements. The Main office for NICE is in Manchester and although initially this role is working from home during lockdown, but once normal travel is available, it would be preferable to have applicants who are happy to travel into the office during the week.
Applicants must have the following experience;
*Strategy - Acted as the senior internal OD consultant devising and implementing OD solutions that align with NHS organisation business plans that enhance organisational effectiveness as well as working with the senior leadership team and external partners in the delivery of senior leadership development programmes and oversee the talent management strategy
*Recruitment and talent management - Led the in-house Recruitment team to provide a proactive and responsive service, which meets the needs of hiring managers, candidates as well as the organisational priorities.
*Organisational Development, Workforce Design & Transformation - Contributed to the identification of organisational development needs within the business and took the lead role in the design and delivery of high-level OD interventions as well as managing the design, development and promotion of leadership and management development strategies, processes, systems and tools.
*Leadership Development & Learning - Oversaw the annual training and development plan, agreed development priorities and learning needs, devised strategies to address them at an individual, team and organisational level
*Performance Management - Implemented performance management systems that supported individuals to develop their skills and knowledge, achieve their potential and enabled managers to achieve business objectives.
*Change management - Supported large scale change programmes as required, providing advice and project management
*Staff Engagement - Devised and implemented strategies that fostered a positive employee relations climate on both an individual and a collective basis.
*Diversity and Inclusion - Ensured diversity and inclusion strategies and policies for the workforce, promoted good relations and inclusive practices at work and effectively engaged with legislative duties
*Health and well-being - Delivered workforce strategies that promoted health and well-being at work, including initiatives such as mental health awareness, stress management and other health promotion activities.
*Pay and Reward - Regularly monitored and reviewed the benefit offering and made recommendations as required
*Information Systems and reporting - Analysed reports on key workforce metrics and trends across the business and used insight and business knowledge to diagnose and identify issues and recommend opportunities for business improvement
*Contract Management - Took managerial responsibility for the external OD and training contracts and budgets ensuring that these services were compliant with service level agreements and provided a quality service that represented value for money
Qualifications required for this position
*Educated to postgraduate level in a relevant subject (such as HR, L&D, organisational development, psychology), or equivalent level of experience working in a similar role
*Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
*Qualified in the use of team development tools such as MBTI
*Qualification in coaching and/or mentoring
*Chartered Member or Fellow of CIPD (MCIPD or FCIPD)
