Windows Migration Lead Contract 12 months. My client a leading name in their own space is in urgent need of talented and experienced Windows Technical Lead to join them on a contract basis for 9-12 months

Scope of the project is to migrate 600 servers (Windows 2003 and 2008) to new 2016/2019 VM servers. The 600 servers in scope support 147 applications. The project is not responsible to upgrade applications just the servers. My client is looking for a technical SME. The role is for an out and out hands on techie. It is NOT a project manager role at all. This candidate will own the migration process of the application from old to new servers. Expect some flex and change in the scope of this role as the project evolves. My client is looking for an Experienced Solution /Technical Lead with 10 + years of commercial experience of Windows Server Operating Systems from 2003 to 2019., Taking a leading "hands on" role in planning and executing the migration of legacy 2003 and 2008 windows servers to 2019, 2016 OS using a combination of Z-Install and IIS Easy Migration Tool.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience required of, Windows Server OS 2003, 2008, 2016, 2019. Candidates will also have VMWare, ESXi 6.x, Active Directory Domain Controller, CSSM, IIS Server, SQL Server. It would be seen as an advantage if candidates have experience in Zinstall,(z-install tool) IEMT (IIS Easy Migration Tool) Print Server, File-share, SharePoint, MQ, Connect Direct, JBoss, IBM WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server.
