Duties & Responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as: o stock management o order processing o order fulfilment o order scheduling o shipment planning o expediting freight consignments to a successful conclusion o updating transactions on our warehouse management system o Accruing for costs o Pricing jobs Expedite the movement of goods and services to maximize value and minimize costs. Co-Ordinate availability and allocation of materials, supplies and finished products.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on the business. Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. Making decisions and solving problems. Analysing information, compiling, categorizing, calculating, verifying information or data and evaluating results to choose the best solutions. Contribute to team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance and ensuring availability of resources. Communicating with supervisors, peers or subordinates. Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time. Implement plans, schedules and compliance with our Quality management and Health & Safety policies. Protect and control proprietary materials. Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. Maintain and develop positive business relationships with customer's key personnel. Monitor and measure subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals and performance specifications, and serving as liaison with subcontractors and service providers.
Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy Making special shipping arrangements as necessary Tracking and fixing shipping errors Preparing bills and invoices Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
