Senior Accounts Payable Administrator (with Team Leader exp)

Salary - £28,000 - £33,000 per annum

Home working until return to office in East Croydon

ASAP Start

Main duties will include:

  • Ensuring the team are working within the agreed SLA and all transactions are processed in a timely manner
  • Proactively responding to and resolving stakeholder and supplier queries and escalating where necessary
  • Processing and prioritising payments in line with payment schedule and business need
  • Reconciling VAT Suspense Account and recovery of VAT invoices to support HMRC compliance
  • Reconciling all bank accounts and outstanding entries are cleared on a timely basis
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Adherence and regular review of finance policies, processes and procedures
  • Supporting the continual development and training of team members
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance processes are followed, including completion of all month end tasks
  • Regular review of supplier aging and development of action plans to resolve aged items
  • Business Partnering across Property and Commercial Stakeholders from outside the BU: Key vendors and suppliers
  • Cover for other Accounts Payable Seniors as required
  • Other adhoc activities as directed by AP Manager

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid Accounts Payable experience, minimum 5 years, ideally in a supervisor/team lead role
  • A quick learner who can work to a deadline
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for finance
  • A passion for driving change and process improvement
  • Experience of working in a shared service environment would be ideal
