Spring Engineering have an opening for a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager to support our client's project based in Dublin within the Power Generation Sector. This is a fixed term 2-year contract with the potential to be become permanent longer term.

Applicants should hold degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (or relevant subject) and must have gained significant experience in Power Generation Sector as a Senior Leader and Project Management in energy asset construction or installation business with significant experience.

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the construction project ensuring it is delivered safely, on time and on budget.

Projects may be located across the Ireland region and will vary in size, complexity and technologies.
The Electrical Project Manager must be able to manage and lead a team of Project personnel be this managers, engineering staff or site management to ensure successful project delivery that promotes industry leading standards in both safety and construction. The Senior Project Manager will take overall responsibility for the complete project management for contracts with value of circa €0.5 - 20M. For large construction projects with value >€50M the role may take the form of a electrical and controls package project manager reporting into an overall Lead Project Manager.

Key Accountabilities

The candidate will lead a team of Project personnel including Engineering, Project Management, HSE, Commercial, Procurement, Consulting engineers, Construction Management and Supplier and Sub-Contractor base to ensure overall successful project delivery that promotes industry leading standards in both safety and quality.
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and on budget.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Project Team Leadership: Create, lead and inspire a dynamic, professional, inclusive and diverse team and working environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute and supported to achieve their best.

Safety Leadership: Drive and maintain a strong process and behavioural safety culture such that our employees, subcontractors, stakeholders, and customers come to no harm, working with relevant departments to close any gaps (knowledge, training or process).

Safety Leadership: Responsible for meeting all relevant health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements for the project. Ensure effective design and process risk assessments are undertaken with respect to the removing or mitigating any HSE risks identified during the Construction, Operation and De-commissioning phases. Ensure process and procedures are in place and adhered to ensure overall compliance in-line with Company Policy and Procedures as well as the local regulations e.g. Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulation 2019.

Project Finance: Responsible for the project P&L from point of Sale to Project Handover, ensuring that margin is maintained or exceeded.

Project Quality: Ensure a quality plan is in place for the project which ensures the final build will robustly meet the specified requirements.
Governance: Ensure robust governance is in place and adhered to particularly in relation to technical, engineering, process, regulatory, contractual and HSE decision making.
Data: Ensure information systems are operated to the required standard to maintain accurate and secure records to comply with Centrica, Contract and Legislative requirements.
Customer Satisfaction: Lead the team to deliver excellent service delivery and communication for our customer as demonstrated through the Net Promoter Score and recommendations for future business.

Risk Management: Ensure effective tracking and management of risks and opportunities. Ensure that these are clearly communicated with effective mitigation plans in place to manage them.
Reporting: Provide the CBS Management Team and Client with detailed progress reports, tracking project timescales, quality metrics, resources, HSE and cost plan on a routine basis.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree level qualified Electrical Engineer or experience in a similar environment;
HSE Construction Qualification advantageous e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safety.
APM or equivalent Professional accreditation is advantageous.
Project Management in energy assets construction or installation business with significant experience.
Electrical engineering and construction track record.
