Quality Control Supervisor
Adecco are currently working on behalf of a world-leading medical device company to recruit a Quality Control Supervisor to join their team in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. This company focuses on striving without reserve for unsurpassed product quality, reliability and deliver meaningful innovations.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility and authority to provide oversight and guidance for quality systems activities within the Athlone plant. This will involve managing people for mentoring, developing and coaching team members.

Duties and Responsibilities
*Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.
*Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and internal regulations to assure compliance.
*Liaise with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to ensure that non-conforming products is segregated and dispositioned in a timely manner.
*Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits.
*Ensures the quality assurance policies and programs are maintained, and modified regularly
*Champion quality improvement activities within the site to include FTQ and QBwM activities liaising with all departments in the implementation of same
*Ensure adequate training programs are in place and coordinate the training plans for all direct reports.
*Overall responsibility for Incoming Inspection and Hold areas
*Manage the Batch Release process for the site including archival programme for batch records
*Provision of trending and associated metrics for QC related activities
Required Skills &Experience
*A third level qualification (degree level) in quality or a related discipline.
*A good understanding ISO 13485, FDA QSRs, JPAL and Canadian Medical Device regulations is desirable for this position in tandem with strong people management and analytical skills.
*Five or more years' experience in a quality role (ideally quality systems)
*General knowledge of math and statistics
*Knowledge of regulatory standards associated with medical devices
*Good computer literacy skills
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Lead auditor qualification preferred, not required.
